Dr Cheng sees adult patients with a variety of urological conditions. She has a subspecialty interest in functional urology and is experienced in managing lower urinary tract problems, incontinence, bladder prolapse as well as stones. She has public appointments at the Western as well as Northern and operates on private patients at Western Private and the Epworth.
Dr Cheng grew up in Taiwan, then moved to Australia more than 20 years ago. She went to school in Western Australia, then moved to study at University of Melbourne, graduating with Honors in 2005 (MBBS Hons BMedSci). She completed her Urological training in 2015 (FRACS Urol), then undertook 2 years of subspecialty training in functional urology. She has also, since then, undertook studies with the Australiasian Society of Ultrasound Medicine, and completed her Certificate in Clinician Performed Ultrasound (CCPU) in 2017. Dr Cheng has also gained skills and expertise from the best across Australia.
Dr Cheng travels to international conferences each year, in order to update and offer her patients the latest diagnostics and management techniques. She is often invited to present and assist in workshops both locally and internationally. She is registered on the ICS (International Continence Society) faculty database, and is an active instructor at the RACS (Royal Australasian College of Surgeons), helping to bring up the next generation of surgeons.
Dr Cheng is multilingual and fluent in Mandarin, Cantonese and Taiwanese.
